Illuminated Philco Tombstone Radio with Bluetooth Audio
This exceptional vintage piece (Circa 1938) has a lovely art deco finish and has been refitted with a high-quality 6.5-inch speaker and a 60-watt amplifier that is bluetooth capable. It features a total of four tubular bulbs in its front opening, operated by turning the rotating dial on the front. The dial includes an indicator light, and comes on whenever the audio feature is enabled with a toggle switch on the front face. The right side of the light flashes gently until connected to a bluetooth source, after which it turns steady.
It can play music from any device via either bluetooth or with a standard 3.5mm cord to allow direct plug in of any device that has a standard headphone output such as a phone, tablet, laptop or MP3 player. The sound quality is rich and powerful - at higher volumes, the light filaments respond to the sound vibrations, adding an interesting visual element to your music.
Bulbs may be accessed and changed easily via the hinged panel on the back of the device. This is a stately showpiece for any room. Bluetooth capability is useful for connecting not only with a music source, but also any bluetooth-enabled smart speakers such as Alexa, or casting audio from a television device, such as a Roku or Apple-TV.
